At the April meeting the Parish Council were very pleased to welcome Mark Taylor who has been co-opted onto the Parish Council as representing Dagnall Ward.
Water Leak, A4146 Leighton Road, Northall
Buckinghamshire County Council has removed the Willow tree roots from the drainage system and the drains will be jetted in due course.
Speed Limit Review – Area 13
The consultation period began on 31st March and will last for 6 weeks until 14th May 2010. Parishioners are advised to attend Public Consultation meetings, dates of which will appear on the Notice Boards, or to respond to a questionnaire which can be completed online via ww.buckscc.gov.uk/haveyoursay
Play Around the Parishes.
The dates of the visits to Edlesborough, Dagnall and Northall were referred to in the April issue of Focus which should have had "Further information will be on the Notice Boards nearer the time" at the end which, due to a publishing problem, this was put at the end of the Water Leak report.
Village Freighter
The Freighter will be visiting the villages of Edlesborough, Dagnall and Northall on the following dates and times:
Edlesborough - Tuesday 18th May 12 noon – 3.30pm in the Memorial Hall car park
Tuesday 23rd November 7.30am – 11.00am in the Memorial Hall car park
Dagnall Tuesday 18th May 7.30am – 11.00am in Dagnall Village Hall car park
Thursday 18th November 7.30am – 11.00am in Dagnall Village Hall car park
Northall Wednesday 21st July 7.30am – 11.00 am in Northall Village Hall car park
Wednesday 24th November 12noon – 3.30pm in Northall Village Hall car park
The relevant notices will be put on the notice boards as soon as received..
Dates of Parish Council Meetings
The Annual General Meeting will take place on Thursday 20th May at Edlesborough Memorial Hall commencing at 7.30pm followed by the Parish Council Meeting.
The General Purpose Committee meeting for July will be held on Thursday 1st July at Edlesborough Memorial Hall commencing at 7.30pm
The date of the July Parish Council Meeting has been altered to Thursday 22nd July 2010 commencing at 7.30pm at Edlesborough Memorial Hall. There will be no August meeting.
Memorial Hall & Pavilion Car Parks
The Parish Council would be pleased to hear views from parishioners regarding the article in the April issue of ‘Focus’ for the possibility of lockable gates/barriers to be installed in the car parks.
Allotments
One or two allotments remain available in Edlesborough. Please contact the Clerk for further information.
Litter Bin posters
The Parish Council has acquired a number of posters requesting motorists to ‘Kill their speed’ which can be stuck onto the green refuse bins. These will be distributed on a first come, first served basis and are available from the Clerk.
Edlesborough Village Sign
Council have approved the design of the sign which will be on display on the Green for the May 1st celebrations.
Car Parking
Following a problem with a car parked immediately across the entrance to the Edlesborough Memorial Hall, thus preventing access for hirers, motorists attending activities held on the Green are respectfully requested to take into consideration that access to the Memorial Hall and entrances to neighbours’ driveways should always be left clear at all times.
‘Kissing Gate’
The Council have requested a quotation to replace the ‘Kissing Gate’ by the roundabout on the Green adjacent to the High Street with a self-closing gate to make it easier for wheelchair users and children in pushchairs.
