'Focus' Report for July 2008

Invitations for Tenders to a revised specification are being sent out and will be considered by the Parish Council prior to works being commenced.

Dates of events to be held on The Green, Edlesborough, Dagnall Recreation Field and Northall Village Hall green area are as follows:

Dagnall – Wednesday 30^th July 10am-12.30pm: Friday 15^th August 2pm-4.30pm:Thursday 28^th August 2pm-4.30pm

Edlesborough – Friday 1^st August 2pm-4.30pm:Monday 11^th August 10am-12.30pm:Friday 22^nd August 10am-12.30pm

Northall: Tuesday 5^th August 10am-12.30pm: Tuesday 19^th August 2pm-4.30pm: Wednesday 27^th August 10am-12.30pm

Children aged between 4 and 12 years are eligible to attend any of the sessions but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian

Dropped kerbs have been installed throughout Edlesborough to facilitate wheelchair users and parents with pushchairs etc. to have a better route to the village shops but unfortunately some inconsiderate drivers are parking their cars either adjacent to or actually across these areas defeating the whole object of their introduction. The Parish Council would again ask particularly parents dropping off and picking up children from both the School and the Under 5’s having their sessions in the Memorial Hall to use the two car parks available at the Memorial Hall or Pavilion or to allow their children to join one of the Crocodile Walks to School.
