Village Freighter Refuse Collection 2007

A reminder to Northall residents that The Village Freighter will be calling at the Village Hall Car Park on Wednesday 18th July between 7.30am and 11.00am

Edlesborough Memorial Hall

The outside of the Memorial Hall has been re-decorated, and internal decorating is almost complete.

Basketball Goal surface and soakaway

Through the efforts of the son of one of the Edlesborough Councillors funding has been granted to construct a playing surface and soakaway to enable this project to be completed.

Retirement of Sue and John Parker

It was with deep regret that the Parish Council were informed of Sue and John Parker’s decision to take retirement. They were both thanked for the tremendous amount of work they have done for the Parish over many years.

An advertisement is appearing in Focus and on the Village Notice Boards for replacement Booking Secretary/Caretaker/Cleaner.

Telephone Kiosk

Due to continued vandalism the Telephone Kiosk at Dagnall had been taken away by BT and will not be replaced. The Parish Council have written to BT urging that it be replaced as being the only telephone kiosk in the Village.

‘Play Around the Parishes’

This is an activity scheme run by AVDC for children during the Summer holiday period. It will be visiting Dagnall on Monday 6th August from 2.00-4.30pm and Edlesborough Green on Friday 27th July from 2.00-4.30pm and Thursday 23rd August from 2.00-4.30pm. There is no charge but parents are asked to remain with their children for the duration of the session.

The Parish Council have congratulated Buckinghamshire County Council on managing to break the ‘Top Gear’ record for road surfacing which was carried out on the A4146 in Northall complete with white lines and ‘cats eyes’
