The winning villages in the 2009 Buckinghamshire Best Kept Village Competition, organised by the Bucks Association of Local Councils (BALC), have been announced (8.7.09). 

In villages with a population of 1500 - 3000, Edlesborough came second to Stewkley.  

This was the first time that Edlesborough has entered the competition. 

Given the growing impact that the EDaN 'Beautifying the Villages' project team is having, Edlesborough should do even better in next year's competition!
